Summary

The Data Analytics & Technology Specialist is designed for professionals who are interested in pursuing an analytics and technology career in the field of operations and supply chain management. This role will teach you about each area of our supply chain as well as obtain a functional and practical knowledge of management. In this role you will have the opportunity to experience each segment in our day- to-day operations.

This person will be held accountable for the daily decisions regarding the input, movement, process, and output of our systems to ensure increased quality, systems accuracy, and data accuracy. This position is responsible for providing clear and frequent communication to all necessary teams.

This is a premier role within the organization, as the Data Analytics & Technology Specialist is responsible for the operations systems and business systems across the region. Our Leadership team will challenge you to develop new ideas and tools to ensure that the best service is being delivered to our customers. These ideas will be presented monthly to our Senior Leadership team.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business, Computer Science, or other related field from accredited institution
• Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and internship experience
• Relevant and demonstrates experience in a similar role
• Experience analyzing and interpreting significant datasets to answer real business questions
• Experience developing requirements for operational reporting systems, data warehouse systems report, and dashboard
• SQL skills required.
• Knowledge of data visualization types and techniques, including selecting appropriate data visualization types to present data
• Knowledge of BI, Data Analytics and software development processes and procedures
• Experience using BI tools (such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau)
• Experience working with a Data Warehouse (such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Teradata, etc.)
• PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook, and Access, Visio, MS Project

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Must be skilled at translating technical terms for a non-technical audience, and non-technical terms for a technical audience
• Demonstrated ability to effectively present and communicate findings/recommendations to cross-functional teams and/or leadership
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests to ensure timely response to the users.
